Recently, we completed a Buckhead pool renovation for a small commercial client. This makeover was great fun as we got the opportunity to use some new materials, including imperial blue glass tile.
As you know, when it comes to selling new residences, part of the appeal is the pool. In this case, the pool looked a bit outdated. In fact, the property management team had heard feedback from potential buyers that they had passed on the property because of the state of the pool. While the pool was in good working order, this pool just needed to be updated with some new materials to make it more visually appealing.
We consulted with the management group and they picked out some great new materials for their pool renovation. For this Buckhead pool renovation, the clients selected the following materials:
- New Travertine Silver coping that replaced their old and tired brick deck surrounding the pool
- New Fusion Imperial Blue Glass Tile for the entire pool for a stunning and colorful glass floor
- Quartz Cayman Green splash tile to complement and help offset the new glass tiling
Glass tile flooring is becoming more popular nowadays for both new pools and pool renovations. These glass tiles are available in a wide array of color palettes. They are similar to what you see now in kitchen backsplashes, only they are much more durable and designed especially for pools. While you can do an entire floor using this material, others prefer to only use it for splash or trim. Either way, it gives your pool a little more design flair which was, indeed, the case with this Buckhead pool renovation.
